Dehkhoda Dictionary is a comprehensive book containing the description and meaning of Persian words. This dictionary is the greatest and most important work of Ali Akbar Dehkhoda, who spent more than 40 years of his life. Dehkhoda Dictionary also has the meaning, interpretation, and historical description of a significant number of Arabic words that have entered Persian.

Dehkhoda Dictionary contains a large part of Persian literary words, with their meanings and their use in poems. Also, all the original Persian words are available in it. However, this dictionary lacks a large part of Persian scientific and technical vocabulary, which mostly entered the field of Persian language in the decades after the compilation of the dictionary. The current printed version of the dictionary has 67,265 pages in small print. In the second edition of the new period, which is printed in the form of 15 volumes of dictionary and one volume of introduction, it is 23.911 pages.
