⚫ Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other Government organization can take benefit of this facility. You can register online with the help of this portal and provide your details to get a digital life certificate.

⚫ Digital Life Certificate- External website that opens in a new window for Pensioners scheme of the Government of India known as Jeevan Pramaan- External website that opens in a new window seeks to ease this very problem by digitizing the whole process of securing the life certificate. It aims to streamline the process of getting this certificate and making it hassle free and much easier for the pensioners.

⚫ Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other Government organization can take benefit of this facility.

⚫ Government of India has enacted Aadhaar Act, 2016.The sanctioning authorities and Disbursing Agencies have to follow the Aadhaar Act, 2016.The DLCs data cannot be shared with any Agency other than the pensioners’ Sanctioning and Disbursing Agency (as specified in the consent taken).The Digital Life certificate is an add-on facility to the existing way of submission of Life Certificate. Government may review above guidelines from time to time to address any emerging needs/ requirements.

⚫ With this initiative the pensioners requirement to physically present himself or herself in front of disbursing agency or the certification authority will become a thing of the past benefiting the pensioners in a huge way and cutting down on unnecessary logistical hurdles.

⚫ As a Digital India initiative to facilitate Pensioners, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has launched Jeevan Pramaan portal.Now the pensioner need not visit office of Disbursing Agency for physical submission of Life Certificate and may use the Aadhaar enabled Biometric authentication mechanism to generate Digital Life Certificate.

⚫ Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners Scheme of the Government of India known as Jeevan Pramaan seeks to address this very problem by digitizing the whole process of securing the life certificate. It aims to streamline the process of getting this certificate and making it hassle free and much easier for the pensioners. With this initiative the pensioners requirement to physically present himself/herself in front of the disbursing agency

⚫ The following documents are required to obtain a Jeevan Pramaan - Life Certificate for Pensioners The pensioner must have a Aadhaar number The pensioner must have an existing mobile number Registration of the Aadhaar number with Pension Disbursing Agency ( bank Post Office etc) should have been done already

⚫ Pensioner can find detailed information about this service and locate nearest location of a Jeevan Pramaan Centre. Users can also download mobile apps and avail benefits under this service.
