Dr Vipul Mehrotra has been a practicing pediatrician for the past 22 years. He completed his graduation (MBBS) from Grant Medical college in 1994 and completed his post graduation in Pediatrics from Lokmanya Tilak Municiapal Medical College Sion in 1997 ,thereafter completed his Fellowship from College of Physician and Surgeon,Mumbai (FCPS) in Child Health. This was followed by a research fellowship at P.D.Hinduja Hospital for 1 year after which he has been running a private practice.

Dr Vipul Mehrotra started Shishu Child Care in 2001 in order to provide a complete outdoor Pediatric facility which is the only one of its kind in our area. Shishu Child Care provides all facilities such as immunisation, newborn care and checkup, nebulisation as well as regular and emergency pediatric care. In 2007, Shishu Child Care added a separate play area and waiting area for patients and parents.

Shishu Child Care is completely computerized with online records of patients and is designed to deliver better customer care through steps like SMS reminders to patients for vaccinations and next day visit reminders. In addition, the clinic uses email for answering short queries and prescriptions.

Added a new modern renovated spacious play area and waiting area from June 2012, also a fully renovated consulting room, also now a inhouse patient education programme on various disease and preventive measure for same in the waiting area, fully computerised record can be retrieved for old visit on request.
