Every licensed doctor who practises medicine in the UK must revalidate, this includes anaesthetists.
Patient surveys (Feedback) are an integral part of the revalidation process.
Anaesthesia-Feedback is designed to collect and collate Patient Survey data as part of the process of revalidation.
Anaesthesia-Feedback is a purpose built secure app that allows anaesthetists to initiate, gather and collate feedback data from patients.
Anaesthesia Feedback has been developed by anaesthetists, who understand that the process using paper forms as provided by the Royal College of Anaesthetists is cumbersome, open to bias and not necessarily confidential or anonymous!

Additionally there is emerging evidence that the process of continuous feedback to anaesthetists may translate into improvements in practice at the individual and peer-group level.

Anaesthesia-Feedback employs 3 methods of gathering feedback;

1. Quick QR code generation. One simple click creates a unique QR code that is displayed clearly in the app. This QR code can be scanned by those giving feedback to gain direct instant access to the patient survey questionnaire.

2. Feedback using Cards.
Feedback Cards are created by the app.
These are to be given to patients to use at their convenience.
The cards are incorporated into a PDF document for download and printing.

3. Feedback via Secure Messaging
The patient is emailed a link to a secure (encrypted) message.
A password, chosen by the patient is required to open (decrypt) this message.
The secure message includes details of how to access the patient questionnaire.

PDF Report

Anaesthesia Feedback allows the anaesthetist to create a PDF document that summarises feedback data automatically.
The document includes details of scoring over the array of questions asked and provides mean and median scores, and documents any free text messages left by patients. Comparison of scores with other users of the service is an option.

Reflection on the comments left by patients is possible.

Deletion of all feedback is possible.

Anaesthesia-Feedback is free to use for 10 days, subsequent use costs £20 Sterling UK per year, via PayPal payment.
