Detail desc: Central Poultry Development Organisation & Training Institute (CPDO & TI) under Government of India, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, located at Hessarghatta, Bengaluru, was established during 1972 to cater to the training needs of the country and of other developing countries in poultry Production and allied activities. This institute imparts advanced and specialized training to the technical officers of the Central/State govt. Organizations, agricultural universities, bank and insurance corporations, Cooperative sector, poultry and meat corporations and private sector poultry Organizations of the country. Under various sponsored schemes like ITEC, COLOMBO PLAN, SCAAP, FAO, Foreign officials from 55 countries have represented in the training at this Premier institute.
CPDO&TI started online training since sept-2020 which includes Entrepreneurship Poultry Awareness Week(EPAW), Entrepreneurs Day(ED) and Online Discussion Forum(ODF) which were webcasted live in Facebook and Youtube Channels.

Entrepreneurs Day (ED):
As a part of Entrepreneurs Poultry Awareness Week, Entrepreneurs Day(ED) was started in oct-2020.
“It begins with an idea, a dream, a small step and an investment. Entrepreneurship is a pursuit for winning on an infinite journey navigating all odds, crossing hurdles with relentless efforts”.

Online Discussion Forum (ODF):
CPDO&TI created this concept of ODF to deliberate in-depth specific topics of interest in the poultry sector. So far two ODFs were conducted; one being on Chicken Alternatives (Duck/Turkey/Guinea Fowl/Quails) on 5th December, 2020 and the second one is on PAN INDIA POULTRY TRAINING / EDUCATION FACILITIES on 8th January, 2020.
