Bhutan Cancer Society (BCS) is a public benefit organization registered under the Civil
Society Organization Authority (Reg no. CSOA/PBO-337).

BCS was officially launched by HRH Ashi Kesang Wangmo Wangchuck on 4th
February coinciding with the World Cancer Day 2015. BCS is the only non-profit
organization established the benefit of cancer patient, caregiver and general population
in Bhutan.

BCS primarily works under three major pillars: Care Support for cancer patient and
caregivers, Cancer Prevention and Advocacy and Cancer Research.

BCS provides palliative care and support to the terminally ill cancer patients as well as
the caregivers beginning diagnosis and continuing through treatment, follow- up- care
and the and of life. One a need base, we also provide information on nutrition, post
chemo care counseling to cancer patient and caregivers in addition to financial support
for improvised cancer patients to avail treatment services in Thimphu and India.
