In Haiti, the postal code is a series of characters starting with two letters followed by four digits located at the beginning (to the left) of the penultimate line of the address and before the name of the communal section. Established in 2003 by the administration of the Haitian Post Office, which joined the Universal Postal Union since July 1, 1881.

Haiti is divided into 10 departments, 42 arrondissements, 144 communes and 570 communal sections. The Haitian Post Office requests that the country code "HT" be placed before the postal code digits.
