An intuitive and versatile tourist app, designed to become an indispensable travel companion for

Designed to allow tourists to explore the city with ease, the app combines the technology of
geolocalization with the beauty of the cultural and historical heritage of Ascoli Piceno. Thanks to
real-time detection of the user's location, the app suggests the main attractions in the area
nearby, making the discovery of the city a simple and engaging experience.
With a user-friendly interface, the app not only simplifies exploration, but enriches it by guiding
the tourist discovering not only the most famous points of interest, but also the lesser-known ones,
authentic hidden pearls of the area.
Main functions
Geolocation is the heart of the app: using the device's GPS, the app pinpoints the location
of the tourist and guides him through an interactive map. This map allows you to orient yourself easily
in the historic center of Ascoli Piceno, showing the position of the nearest points of interest (POI).
Wi-Fi Access Point
A distinctive aspect is the possibility of viewing the free Wi-Fi access points made available on the map
provision by the Municipality of Ascoli Piceno. Each hotspot is clearly marked for ease
identification.
During the first login, the app offers the possibility to choose whether or not to register to use the
Wi-Fi service. In case of failure to register, the user can still access the Wi-Fi network via
a dedicated captive portal, which is automatically activated when connecting to the network.
Detailed descriptions and photo gallery
Each POI is accompanied by an accurate description and a dedicated photo gallery, which enrich
the visual and informative experience of the tourist. The texts, available in both Italian and English,
they tell the history and main characteristics of monuments, historic buildings and attractions, making
each visit is a journey into the past and culture of the city.
