KAVI – PTS is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. It is a picture to speech Android application for children with cerebral palsy, autism, speech disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD at their early levels of literacy. KAVI – PTS could be a replacement of picture charts and flash cards. The application helps the children to improve their vocabulary and also to communicate about their needs. At times this help to build conversations and express their feelings and emotions too. KAVI – PTS is customizable. The categories, pictures, labels, audio output can be customized according to the need and ability of the children. The application is available in multiple languages as English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Education and communication would always be at its best if it is done in the native language. This is also the reason for developing the app in many languages. Also, taking KAVI – PTS to the rural areas is working better with the local languages available. KAVI – PTS is now being developed in South East Asian languages as Bahasa, Vietnamese and Thai. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store for free and each installation can be supported with 5 users at a time. KAVI – PRO is an advanced version of KAVI – PTS. KAVI – PRO has a proprietary picture library of around 1000 images.
