The Energy Voucher app provides information on government welfare services to help energy-vulnerable households enjoy cool summers and warm winters. It provides complete information on the Energy Voucher system, which allows users to purchase energy such as electricity, city gas, district heating, kerosene, LPG, and coal briquettes.

● Voucher Balance Inquiry
Easily check your current Energy Voucher balance and usage history by simply entering your name, date of birth, and address. Check your voucher balance in real time for the summer (July-September) and winter (October-May) seasons.
● What is an Energy Voucher?
This app provides detailed information on the Energy Voucher system and who is eligible. Easily determine your eligibility by checking income and household characteristics.
● Application Eligibility Guide
Households receiving livelihood benefits, medical benefits, housing benefits, or education benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act and including members who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
Seniors: Born before December 31, 1960
Infants: Born after January 1, 2018
Disabled: Disabled persons registered under the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act
Pregnant women: Women who are pregnant or have given birth less than six months ago
Patients with severe, rare, or incurable diseases
Single-parent families, households with children
● Application Guide
You can apply at the administrative welfare center of your registered residence (eup, myeon, or dong).
You can also apply online through the Bokjiro website (www.bokjiro.go.kr).
If you are unable to visit in person, we also provide detailed instructions on how to apply on behalf of a person and by mail or fax.
● Usage Guide
Energy vouchers can be used in two ways.
Bill Deduction Method
This method is for households that primarily use city gas, electricity, and district heating. Bring your energy bill to your local township/village office and apply for a deduction, and your bill will be automatically deducted from the following month.
Summer: Electricity
Winter: Choose between city gas, electricity, and district heating
National Happiness Card Method
This method is for households that use electricity, city gas, kerosene, LPG, and briquettes. After applying for an energy voucher, you can obtain a National Happiness Card from a bank or other source and purchase energy directly.

2025 Application Period
Applications are accepted from June 9, 2025, to December 31, 2025, at all local administrative welfare centers.
