Founded in February 2015, from the union of a group of people in pursuit of the purpose of taking good care of and adopting each animal, Instituto Caramelo works mainly in the rescue of injured or at-risk animals, recovery and adoption. We maintain a shelter with around 300 animals, including dogs and cats, all rescued from the streets, where they are protected, treated, fed and wait for the chance to be adopted.

The Caramelo Institute is located in Ribeirão Pires, in the metropolitan region, on a plot of land measuring 27,000 square meters. There is a surgical center with 24-hour veterinary care, a physiotherapy center, training for psychological treatment, 5 release areas, 35 kennels, 4 catteries and a team of more than 40 professionals who donate completely so that the shelter is just a phase of passage in the lives of animals. It takes around 300 thousand reais per month to support it and it is donations, partnerships and sales in the store that make this dream possible.
