GlobeARound to Constellation is an augmented reality (AR) app that lets you navigate the Tecnodidattica globe using your smartphone and discover a wealth of interactive and multimedia content about the starry sky, constellations, and numerous astronomical objects, such as double stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. By pointing your device's camera at the globe, you can view the main constellations and the three-dimensional locations of the most interesting astronomical objects that characterize each constellation in augmented reality—as an overlay on the globe. With a simple tap, you can select and interactively explore individual elements, viewing images and information cards with additional details.

App content: 20 characters corresponding to individual astronomical constellations, floating in 3D and visible in AR as an overlay on the sky map located on the globe in "night" mode; 20 descriptive cards containing general information about the constellation, the history and mythology of the depicted figure, the main stars and celestial objects within the constellation, and tips for recognizing them in the sky; over 40 3D objects arranged in AR on a star globe, depicting astronomical objects such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies, accompanied by images taken with the most powerful telescopes; and 4 3D videos on astronomical geography: Earth's rotation and revolution, the seasons, the Moon's orbit around Earth and its phases, as well as time zones and time differences on the Earth.

In addition to augmented reality navigation, interactive content can also be viewed using a simple, interactive 3D interface with just a few taps.

How it works: Download the GlobeAR app using the QR code or the link to the online store. In AR mode: use the app in a dark room and turn on the globe; select a constellation; Point the camera at the desired constellation on the globe; tap the magnifying glass icon next to each constellation for more information. In 3D mode: Using the 3D interface, select the constellation you want to view; proceed as in the AR version.
