InsuTOOL is an application designed to facilitate the management of insulin therapy created by the redGDPS Foundation.

At present we have a large number of options in the management of insulin in people with type 2 diabetes, which allows an individualized choice depending on the characteristics of each patient.

To make these decisions in daily clinical practice we have little time and sometimes little experience, so if we could have some tool to guide us in this process the result would be much simpler.

InsuTOOL was born from this need, which is an application for mobile devices that in a quick and simple way will help us choose the most recommendable insulin treatment regimen for each patient and, in addition, will guide us in the adjustment of the treatment until achieving the objective of control desired.

InsuTOOL allows the management of insulin from its inception by a dose of basal insulin until its intensification by the addition of rapid insulin and / or other antidiabetics, premixed insulin or bolus-basal therapy.

Finally, it will also help us in the choice of insulin therapy in those patients who have special clinical conditioners that require differentiated use, such as those treated with corticosteroids, frail elderly or obese.
