TAIDART (Taranto Immersive Digital Augmented Reality Tour) is the first immersive and site specific tourist-cultural-digital itinerary created by the aps Enogastro Hub and born from an idea by Monica Caradonna.
Through the app, the experience comes to life in three symbolic places of the city, where augmented reality evokes characters that belong to the deepest identity of Taranto.
The three digital sculptures, created by Comastudio, are the result of an in-depth study and constant comparison with the Paisiello Institute, Music Conservatory of the City, and the MarTa, Archaeological Museum of Taranto.
In the three points of interest, thanks to the App, developed by the Taranto start-up Extesa, you will be able to admire Falanto, who appears at the center of the Rotonda Marinai d'Italia, as a warrior with his narrative with a high ethical impact; Heracles, whose head is reproduced inside the MArTa, represented in Piazza Garibaldi, close to the entrance to the Museum, in a complete reconstruction of his body in Lysippos' narration. And Paisiello, positioned near the Doric Columns and who finds himself playing the archlute in a piece performed and produced ad hoc for this project by the Paisiello Institute of Taranto.
Guiding the user during the journey is Virgi, an explorer without a defined gender identity, who in the wake of Virgil of Dante's memory acts as a guide through the city of Taranto.
