The BioEduca educational software is a technological tool for teaching botany, which was developed for devices with the Android operating system, and uses QR code technology to provide information about tree species present in the Arboretum of the Colégio Estadual Agrícola Augusto Ribas (CAAR). The Arboretum consists of a collection of native and exotic tree species, selected for their ecological and morphological characteristics, and which is available for use by primary and higher education teachers. In the arboretum, the codes are placed on identification plates attached to each species, containing, in addition to the code, the UEPG and CAAR logo, botanical family, scientific and popular name. After downloading the app, simply open it and frame the camera to read the QR code, which will provide information and a set of four images for each species. In addition to using QR codes, species can be consulted through a menu that lists all species registered in the application.
