And the Sunnah desired the night prayer, on the authority of Abu Hurairah - may God be pleased with him - he said: The Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
The Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, says that fasting is a form of worship that has a great impact on the life of the individual and society. It accustoms man to patience and endurance of hardships, softens feelings and feelings, connects the servant to his Lord and Creator, and in fasting is submission, obedience and deprivation of the pleasures and desires of life throughout the day, believing in and seeking God’s reward. The virtue of Ramadan
Among the virtues of the month of Ramadan is that it is the month of liberation from the fire and forgiveness of sins. It is a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened, good deeds are multiplied, supplications are answered, ranks are raised, and bad deeds are forgiven.
Ramadan fasting has many benefits and great wisdom, including purifying the soul, purifying it, and purifying it from bad morals such as evil, wickedness and miserliness, and accustoming it to noble morals such as patience, forbearance, generosity and generosity, and striving oneself in what pleases God and brings it closer to Him. Therefore, the fasting person should do a lot of prayers, alms, dhikr, seeking forgiveness, and all kinds of sacrifices during the night and the fire, in order to take advantage of time and with a desire to multiply the good deeds, and to please the Creator of the earth and the heavens.
Beware of everything that diminishes fasting, weakens the reward, and angers the Lord Almighty from all other sins, such as neglecting prayer, miserliness with zakat, eating usury, consuming people’s money unjustly, types of injustice and disobedience to parents, severing ties of kinship, backbiting, gossip, lying, perjury, false claims, and false oaths. Women's adornment, and other things that God and His Messenger have forbidden. These sins are prohibited at all times and places, but their prohibition is greater in Ramadan.
