FaithBook Initiative is an online platform which avails Christians [Catholics especially] concise but comprehensive catechetical resources explaining some Catholic Doctrinal Beliefs and Practices. Each week, a One Minute {60 seconds} video is arranged and published on such mainstream social media platforms as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and tiktok, the content of which is a brief exposition of a selected subject of faith or doctrine accompanied by relevant quotes from Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church [CCC], and other helpful references that may aid further enquiry and understanding of the topic.
FaithBook, derives its impetus from and is driven by the maxim of St Anselm; “Faith Seeking Understanding” (fides quaerens intellectum). Hence, FaithBook Initiative is not limited to the #OneMinuteCatechism, but accommodates and puts out other resources that would help achieving a deeper understanding and better appreciation of the faith.

Initiator/Director
This is an initiative original to Rev. Fr. Michael Chike Osamor, a Catholic Priest of Issele-Uku Diocese (Delta State, Nigeria), working in the Archdiocese of Lagos (Lagos State, Nigeria). However, FBI also has the contributive support of other young and dynamic Priests and innovative minds that drive the mission and vision of the initiative.

MISSION & VISION
FaithBook Initiative [FBI] is a missionary innovation created and engineered as an avenue to help Catholics, especially the youths and young adults, revisit the content and substance of their faith as they may have been taught during their childhood catechism classes. Nevertheless, non Catholic Christians are also targeted in this endeavor as we acknowledge that many are inquisitive and curious about certain aspects of belief-system of the Christian religion.
Indeed, it is true that our young ones love and deeply appreciate their faith, even though there are some aspects of it they are not able to substantially explain when asked. We realize that there are many proud members and confessors of their believe in the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church and are resolute in their refusal to be swayed by critics and have the burning desire to be equipped with answers to questions about the “what” and “why” they believe and do what they do (1 Pet 3:15).
