Built as an initiative of the Family & Fellows Foundation, Blood Link focuses on transparency, privacy, and trust—ensuring that blood donations reach those who genuinely need them.

Why Blood Link exists

In emergencies, blood is often unavailable at the right time and place. At the same time, direct donor–recipient connections can lead to privacy risks and unethical practices such as blood selling. Blood Link addresses both challenges by introducing a hospital-centric, verification-based donation workflow.

How Blood Link works

Patients or hospitals submit a blood donation request with supporting documents

Requests are reviewed and verified by authorized foundation staff

Donors can browse nearby verified requests based on blood group and location

No personal contact details are shared between donors and recipients

Donors donate blood at hospitals or partner blood banks using a request ID / patient MR number

Donation proof is submitted and verified to ensure accountability

This approach helps maintain safety, dignity, and fairness for everyone involved.
