Following ICAO standards and supporting initiatives like IATA OneID, Fast VIP allows travelers to create digital versions of their passports and share them with airlines and government authorities, enabling fast and easy identification before they even leave their houses.

Travelers download the app and are prompted to scan the chip in their passports to create a DTC and link it to their biometrics with a quick selfie. Their DTC is in a verifiable credential format that can be used to digitally share their passport information with authorities or airlines for advance clearance ahead of their arrival. This privacy-focused method reduces travel friction and replaces long lines with quick, touchless biometric and digital passport verification.

Easy to use

From initial setup to arrival at the airport, the user experience is intuitive. Travelers can create their Digital Travel Credential at the earliest point in the booking process, before their journey even begins. Once created, they can use the DTC to share their passport information throughout their arrival journey–from pre-arrival declarations and baggage claim to security screening and immigration. Notifications guide the traveler through each step upon arrival.
