The barrier of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range and Coastal Mountain Range, along with the fresh mountain air and pure water, allows Taitung's Guanshan rice to mature on the plant, resulting in plump, chewy grains that reflect the original spirit of December's Chaoshan porridge.
