Freightiser is a mobile application platform where freight can be advertised by someone wanting to have freight moved. A trucking company(carrier) can browse the freight advertised & contact the person advertising the freight to get the job. Also, trucking companies can advertise if they have either some space available or an entire truck available which is running between locations. If someone with freight sees the truck available they can contact the carrier. The app allows users to view the advertisement on list view and map view. Freight users can see if there’s any carriers coming through their area. Carriers can see if there are any jobs on the map within their travel route. The app is easy to use by creating a simple & free user account with basic user information.
Payment & communication made between the app freight user & carrier user is all done outside of the app.
App users with freight - use of the app is free to create freight ads. Once the carrier has moved the item, the freight user can remove the ad within their “my ads” section from their account, this way carriers won’t continue to make contact regarding the item. Ads made by the carrier user advertising their truck space can be viewed in full & for free when looking for a carrier to move the freight.
App users as a carrier - freight ads can be viewed in full with a subscription & communication can be made with the freight person to supply a quote by phone or by email. The subscription also allows carrier ads to be made for freight app users to view the carrier in full. A subscription also gives use of the saved search functionality with notifications. Freight ads can also be made by carrier app users as this is a free service for all app users.
Saved ad feature - this allows users to later revisit the ad without searching the criteria to find it again. Ads can easily be removed from the saved list by deselecting the save icon on the top right of the ad preview.
Urgent functionality - the urgent message can be chosen to be displayed on the ad by selecting urgent while creating the ad. Ads with urgent assigned to them will appear first in the list preview giving them priority to be viewed higher in the list.
Filter functionality - filters can be applied to filter ads in different ways to filter out the applicable ads that suit the user, either freight or carrier ads. Easily find ads matching the criteria of the filters set for ad type(freight or carrier),
Map view functionality for ad search - freight & carrier ads can be both found on the map view option with a symbol identifying the pickup location, the drop off location is easily identifiable by a data label under the symbol.
Saved searches with app notification - these are available to subscribing users who have access to create a saved search. Saved searches can be created with criteria set by filters that are applied. When an ad is listed by another user that matches the criteria of an existing saved search, a notification alerting that a new ad has been made of interest is sent to the phone the app is installed on. This is a feature for carriers looking for freight.
Communication buttons - contact between the two app users can be made by call, SMS or email. Communication buttons are accessible from the bottom of each ad. The app user's phone then launches the standard phone apps installed once the button is pressed(call, sms & email). Users may not be contactable by phone or want multiple phone calls, therefore while creating the ad the user can choose to withhold their number.
Ad expiry - after an ads finish date, ads will remain in a grace period before being expired. After the expiry period ends ads will be removed from the app.
