Since July 2013 the historian ARCI "Amici del Po" of Monticelli d'Ongina is under new management.

Our intent, ambitious, is to combine tradition and culture, the flavors of the Po and of the Piacenza valleys with notes and images of level cultural events, with musical evenings of Jazz, Blues, Swing .... or with dances accompanied by popular music of the Apennines, Occitan, Ireland, the Balkans.

We want to offer our members ARCI the opportunity to dine with writers, artists, poets, intellectuals, journalists, who will present their works and will allow us to deepen social, cultural and political interest for sure.

The center of our activities will remain as the territory, with the utmost attention to the culture of the Po and the Monticelli community. For this we enrich the local aesthetic with photo exhibitions and art installations related to local history and landscape of the "Great River", offering an entertainment and leisure to the smallest, always with a view of a culture and a modern pedagogy and "intelligent", designed largely to the recovery of the community's ties to its environment and its history.

Our goal is to make the club a quiet and cozy place, keeping the traditional Osteria dimension that distinguishes it, turning it at the same time a point of reference, not only for our province, for a variety of cultural events, without fear of "dare", where art and culture are at home.
