When driving on motorways or federal roads, Protect Me warns you with audio warnings about aquaplaning, hail, storms, slippery roads and fog. The app tells you how far away the weather danger lies ahead of you on your route.

Do you want to check what the roads look like before you set off? On the live map you can see the current weather danger spots on federal roads and motorways within Germany.

Weather warnings for your locations with tips

Whether for your home or your holiday apartment – ​​with Protect Me you can subscribe to location-specific weather warnings as a push message for up to four locations in Germany.

At what wind speed should I dismantle the trampoline and should I still allow time for shoveling and spreading snow tomorrow? With the weather warnings for you, you not only know when and to what extent a weather threat is likely in your location. With the right tips, you will also find out what you can do in the respective weather situation to better protect yourself, your loved ones and your belongings.

Choose your warning subscription in the appropriate level

Protect Me issues warnings in three possible levels: “moderate”, “elevated”, “high”. You can choose at which level you would like to be warned. For storm warnings, for example, this means that with the level “moderate” you will be warned of wind speeds of 63 km/h and with “high” only from 118 km/h.

It depends on the weather data

Protect Me's alerts are not based on traditional weather data. We get them from the weather experts at Meteologix. The company has a close-knit network of weather stations and radars as well as exceptional expertise in processing complex radar data and can therefore make particularly precise statements about the weather situation.

Please note that we create the weather warnings based on available weather data as non-binding forecasts for potential danger spots. Information about future or current weather can naturally only reflect a certain degree of probability and offers no guarantee for accuracy or completeness. The weather warnings may therefore differ from the actual weather situation. It can also happen that no weather warnings are issued, even though there are danger areas.
