You should remember though that learning how to become an electrician takes a lot of time, effort and hard work. A typical course may take as long as 4 years. You would have to participate in theoretical instruction that can take as long as 144 hours and practical application of 2000 hours or so. Theoretical and practical classes can encompass devising electrical systems, soldering, blueprint interpretation, electrical code familiarization and first aid training among others.
