A mobile app that enables easy access to food or drug recalls in three different languages.It uses a real-time OCR to recognize barcodes on food and drug items in any orientation with high accuracy, and gets product data from FDA on any potential recalls. It has voice over capability for the visually impaired. This app was developed mainly for food and drug safety and the potential to reduce waste by giving consumers real time data on what specific product is being recalled. As more and more data gets packed into barcode like the lot# and batch # etc, the recalls can be more targeted reducing food waste.
