The Castle of Niebla in Huelva was built in the 1970s by Enrique de Guzmán, II Duke of Medina Sidonia, IV Count of Niebla, VII Lord of Sanlúcar and First Marquis of Gibraltar.

The FORTours project pursues the dissemination and enhancement of these defensive architectures on the border, Spain-Portugal (POCTEP 2014-2020) affected by the Interreg V-A Program, its actions being co-financed with European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).
