Welcome to the Social Association 1924 Oberlahnstein e.V.

We are celebrating our 100th birthday and are ceremoniously launching our first official app!

The Social Association 1924 Oberlahnstein e.V. was founded on August 29, 1924 in the “Rebstock” inn in Oberlahnstein. Out of the desire to maintain the friendships that had developed during the First World War and to strengthen the community, 24 comrades came together to found it. The first board consisted of Josef Bode (chairman), Karl Reiländer (deputy chairman), Josef Kapellen (managing director), Johann Buch (treasurer) and Georg Geil and Karl Lindner (assessors).

Our club has always been characterized by a sociable character. In the early years we organized numerous events such as bowling evenings, church festival breakfasts and entertainment evenings. St. Nicholas celebrations and Christmas parties were also of great importance for our club life. Before the Second World War, our annual masked and prize masked balls, hikes, boat and bus trips were highlights in Oberlahnstein and the surrounding area.

After the Second World War, our club experienced a rebirth on March 21, 1947. A temporary merger with the "Fidelio" association was necessary, but in 1950 the former Fidelio members separated from our community again. Since then we have proudly used the name “Social Association 1924 Oberlahnstein e.V.” continue and continue our traditions.

A special highlight in our club life is our involvement in the Oberlahnstein carnival. Many of the carnival princes come from our ranks, and we have been responsible for organizing the Oberlahnstein church fairs since 1948. Our carnival events and participation in Rose Monday parades are integral parts of our annual calendar.

With our club work, we have been promoting friendship and sociability in Oberlahnstein for almost a century. We look back proudly on our history and look forward to many more years full of shared experiences and traditions.
