The Clinical Practice Guidelines Evidence-Based (GPC) are instruments supporting medical decisions, which have been systematically developed in order to optimize health care under specific clinical circumstances.

The GPC is a set of recommendations developed systematically to help professionals and patients make decisions about the most appropriate health care and to select the most appropriate when addressing a health problem or medical condition specified diagnostic and therapeutic options.

The GPC respond to the need for concise, reliable, accurate and timely information; oriented implementation processes of clinical care towards greater consistency and efficiency (3) and its development aims to resolve the uncertainty and ignorance of doctors about the diversity of clinical management.
