Establishment of the Union:

The Federation was named "UAE Handball Federation" under No. (9) on 20 November 1975. The number of clubs participating in the Federation's activity during the current season 2018/2019 is eighteen clubs.

 

Membership of the Union at the Gulf level:

Member of the Organizing Committee of the Handball of the GCC countries since 1979.

 

Union membership at the Arab level:

Member of the Arab Handball Federation since 1975 and headquartered in Saudi Arabia.

 

Union membership at continental level:

Member of AFC Handball Federation since 1976, based in Kuwait.

 

Union membership at the international level:

Member of the International Handball Federation since 1978, based in Switzerland.
