Gruha Lakshmi Yojna Karnataka - Information and Eligibility

The Gruha Lakshmi Yojna in Karnataka aims to provide financial assistance to women belonging to different socio-economic categories. Here are the eligibility criteria for the scheme:

1. Eligible Families: The women should belong to Antyodaya, Below Poverty Line (BPL), and Above Poverty Line (APL) families.

2. Head of the Family: Women identified as the head of the family in Antyodaya, BPL, and APL ration cards issued by the government will be eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.

3. One Woman per Family: Only one woman from each family will be able to avail of the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi Yojna.

4. Exclusion of Women Employees: Women who are employed are not eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.

5. Exclusion of Women Taxpayers: Women who are taxpayers are not eligible for the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi Yojna.

6. Income Tax and GST Criteria: If the husband of the woman who is identified as the head of the family is paying income tax or filing GST returns, the women in that family will not be eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.

The Gruha Lakshmi Yojna, introduced by the Karnataka government, provides a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 to the identified head woman of eligible households. It is estimated that around 2 lakh females in the state will benefit from this yojana, which aims to support and empower women in their households.
