In order to improve health services according to standards, on 1 December 2016, RSUD Kabupaten Klungkung was recognized as having fulfilled the Hospital Accreditation Standard Version 2012 and was declared to have passed the Plenary Level (Five Stars) by the Central Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS). Subsequently on January 23, 2017 through the Decree of the Governor of Bali Number 440 / 844.6 / DPMPSP-H / 2017 concerning Operational Permit for Class B General Hospital, the Klungkung District Hospital was upgraded to a Class B Non-Education General Hospital.
