The app uses rotatable dials to which closely simulate plastic umpire counters.

The app contains settings to customize behavior including an option to enable ball incrementing by shaking the phone. When enabled and a shake is detected, the phone will vibrate once for every ball that has passed in the over. This allows the user to use the app without looking at the phone.

The premium version of the app removes ads and has an optional score counter.
