In July 2012, Root Impact began with the dream of a society where everyone creates a better world in their own way. The ambition was bold, but it was difficult to figure out what to do and how to do it. There was a lot of trial and error. In the process, I met many people who wanted a better world. People who silently walk a path that no one acknowledges. People who make their way little by little despite numerous difficulties. People who want to contribute their expertise to creating a better world. Root Impact came to the idea that these change makers needed a community where they could walk together and support each other.

People who solve social problems, people who discover new social problems, people who want to contribute to social value, people who find meaningful careers, and even people who want to help them. A co-working community where all these people come together to work and grow together. Root Impact has invested three years since January 2014 in the hope that this imagination will become a reality. We believe that a true community cannot be created alone, and we have prepared together with potential members. What kind of space and facilities do you want? What services and programs are needed? What is the desirable appearance of a community? We asked questions and asked them for answers.

Heyground is a place where people who are on their own change-making journeys gather together. We hope that their journey will be enjoyable and happy. I hope you can feel that you are valuable. I hope to be recognized by more people and grow. Because we will be a strong ground. Furthermore, we hope they become friends with each other. If you run into each other by chance, it would be nice to just say hello (Hey). When things are hard, it would be nice to lean on my colleagues and take a break. I look forward to a long journey together with the change makers gathered here. I hope that their footsteps will provide inspiration and courage to others.
