Hizib Nawawi application. The name "Hizib Nawawi" is attributed to the composer of this hizib namely; Syekh Abi Zakaria Yahya bin Syarafuddin an-Nawawi, or commonly known as Imam an-Nawawi. This Hizib Nawawi, is a collection of dhikr that Imam An Nawawi consistently reads and practices every day, which is then combined as a single unit, which is finally known to many people as Hizib Nawawi.

The benefits of reading Hizib Nawawi are mentioned in the book of al-Kunuz an-Nuraniyah: "This hizib includes hizib which is efficacious for protecting against sorcery, eye trickery (part of magic), and the ugliness of demons and jinn. Hizib is also useful for eliminating distress, rejecting the deceit of the wrongdoers, rejecting the persecution of the persecutors and the envy of the spiteful and so that they are sheltered in the shade and protection of Allah. Some other fadhilah (virtue), this hizib will decorate the reader with glory, light, majesty, and beauty” (Sayyid Mukhlif Yahya al-'Ali al-Hudzaifi al-Husaini, al-Kunuz an-Nuraniyah, pp. 179-180 ).
