What is the difference between Speed Test, WiFi, Ping, 3G/4G, and Dcom?
The speed test tool is a free service from Google that lets you measure the speed of your Internet connection. This tool helps you identify areas where you might experience slow speeds or poor connectivity.
WiFi is wireless local area network (LAN) technology that allows devices to connect to each other over short distances via radio waves. In contrast, mobile broadband uses cellular networks to provide data connections.
3G and 4G refer to the third generation and fourth generation of cellular technologies, respectively. These newer generations of cellular technology offer faster download speeds than older technologies such as 2G and GPRS.
Dcom refers to DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line. This type of high-speed Internet access provides similar performance to cable modem services.
