Taiwan is an area where digestive diseases are prone, and having a correct diagnosis and treatment is a boon for patients. The research and development of endoscopic medicine in the digestive system in China has always been affiliated with the Society of Digestive Medicine. However, because there are organizations of the endoscopic medical society in the digestive system in Asia-Pacific and the world, domestic people in the country decided to establish the "Republic of China" Gastroenterology Endoscopy Medical Association" in order to actively participate in international academic organizations.
