Improve your critical media literacy skills through PONDER!

Do you know what PONDER is? If not… PONDER is a UNICEF Albania youth social program in cooperation with ICTSlab, part of the Stop Human Trafficking program. The main purpose of this program is to promote the ability of young people to think critically, especially in relation to the information they receive from all types of media.

With the Ponder App you can test yourself against the information and messages you receive every day on social and traditional media. Improve comprehension ability and challenge yourself through subjective information. The application has five sections: Home, Blog, Video Scoring System and Settings.

This application was developed within the program 'Transforming the National Response to Trafficking in Human Beings in and out of Albania', which is funded by the UK Government, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth led by UNICEF Albania and implemented by ICTSlab.

Home: Ponder organizes information into 6 different categories in the form of games.
Game Categories: Art, Lifestyle, Celebrities, Politics, Sports, Technology.
For each of these categories there will be 3 subcategories.

• Fake News or not: Is the example given based on facts or opinions?
• News or Opinion: Are they examples of live news or an opinion?
• Facts or not: Are these examples proven facts or personal opinion?
Each subcategory has three levels. Users must find the answer to 7 examples out of 10 offered to move to the next level. Points are awarded according to the accuracy and speed of response with the results which are posted to the scoring system (Scoring).
When users finish the answers, they can look at their result to learn more about each example and whether their answers were correct or incorrect.
Access will be allowed for all level 1 games without the need for registration. Switching to other levels requires registration in the Ponder app. Only registered users have access to the scoring system.
Blog: This section will be actively updated for users with articles written by PONDER participants. Each post contains a comment space for discussions between different users. This section is available to all users.
Video: This section contains videos from Ponder's YouTube channel.
Scoring System: This section is a record of the points that users have earned with each level in Ponder games.
