IDETEP supports teachers in finishing the Illinois State Board of Education Safety and Driver Education endorsement for the Professional Educator License by offering flexible, year-round courses in collaboration with the University of St. Francis, College of Education. This program blends online learning with hands-on training from local mentors.

Characteristics of IDETEP:

Asynchronous online lessons for convenience
Practical teaching: classroom, laboratory, and behind-the-wheel (BTW) instruction.
Driving simulation training, multi-car range, and evasive techniques.
All materials within are designed to meet the guidelines of the Illinois State Board of Education for endorsement completion.
