My name is Abraham Supino, I developed this app to share my style of exercise and training which I have never seen offered before through a fitness program online or offline.
How I got into fitness, I was walking in a farmers market in Santa Monica in the summer of 2003 and an old man sped into the market with his car at 60 mph and killed many people and injured hundreds. I was hit by the car and both my upper legs (the femur bones) were broken completely in two places each. I miraculously was able to walk again after three months and did not suffer any brain or spinal cord damage.
My journey into the realm of mobility and movement came about 8 years later when I travelled to the Himalayas in India and met a yogi who I learned yoga first from. After that I went to a yoga research university in south India and studied and practiced yoga rigorously for three years as part of a course in Naturopathy and yogic sciences which included how yoga can be used therapeutically for a wide variety of common ailments.
From 2016-2020 I taught yoga classes on the beach of Kauai to visitors from around the world of every body type and experience level, incorporating the principles of traditional yoga which I studied in India along with the westernized approach I learned at a Yoga Alliance training I did at Victoria Brunacci school of Yoga in Miami.
During the pandemic, I took my yoga practice further on my own journey of self discovery and developed the practices presented in this app as well as composed the inspirations behind the techniques in the form of the companion book.
This course is truly based on my spirituality, having lived as a monk for eight years after the car accident, as well as my formal training and education in traditional yoga and its therapeutic benefits.
The 90 day transformational course is meant to open the door to discover possibilities within exercise, yoga, training, which one may not have previously imagined.
As a certified personal trainer and health coach my goal is ultimately to empower my students/participants with the knowledge to take responsibility for their own state of health with knowledge of the natural sciences of body not just how it can move in ways to improve it.
