The Inno di Mameli, the national anthem of the Italian Republic, is a Risorgimento song written by Goffredo Mameli and set to music by Michele Novaro in 1847. Every time the National team plays (football, rugby, volleyball, etc.) we listen to the Italian anthem, Mameli's anthem, and maybe we devert ourselves to see if the players know his words by heart. In official events, only the first two stanzas of eight lines are performed, lasting about one minute.
