The YanYana Educator Remote Control App is specifically designed to support educators in managing interactive learning activities with children with autism in the YanYana app. It works in real-time integration with the YanYana app, and users must log into both applications using the same account.
In the image recognition activities within the YanYana app, children with autism are encouraged to perform actions such as raising their hands, clapping, or pretending to fly an airplane. Since education for children with special needs is highly individualized, success criteria may vary from one child to another. This remote-control app allows educators to apply personalized success criteria when needed. For example, if a child can only raise their hands to a certain level, the main app’s image recognition system might not detect the motion as successful - but the educator can manually approve the activity as "passed" through the remote-control app.
In speech recognition activities, children are asked questions such as “What is your name?”, “How old are you?”, or “In which season does it snow?”. Due to speech difficulties, some children may not be accurately recognized by the voice recognition system. In such cases, educators can view the correct answers on the remote-control app and manually mark the activity as successful if the child responds correctly.
The app also supports educators in cases of technical issues - if a student successfully completes an activity but the system fails to register it, the educator can manually mark it as "passed" using this companion app.
The YanYana Educator Remote Control App provides a flexible and customizable teaching experience, helping to optimize learning outcomes for each child.
Note: This app is designed exclusively for educators using YanYana main app. An active YanYana account is required for access.
