Don't have enough time to keep check in on everyone to make sure they're ok? MyCircles has a solution for you - whether you want to know that your college-aged friend or loved one made it back from partying (or studying late at the library) or you want to make sure your friend or loved one who took a solo trip is ok without being overly intrusive - we created a dashboard to show who in your circles, whether family, friends, or coworker, etc. checked in and where they are (if they consent to share location).
Also, if they share that they are NOT ok, we send a notification out to everyone in the circle and help them contact emergency services so that it is easier for that person to get the help they need! After all, sometimes we just need support from our loved ones and not from emergency services.
How Does It Work?
The standard and premium versions allows users to create “circles” based on mutual consent to share check-in activity and/or location data (i.e. an individual can choose to share their check-in activity data so their parent/guardian knows they are safe but not to share their location data so that they do not feel like they are being closely monitored by their parent/guardian). These circles can be composed of friends, family members, coworkers, acquaintances, or any people who share mutual caring and consent to share check-in and/or location data.
The standard and premium versions of the app will have a menu button at the bottom of the app to view the same data that is available on the free version of the app.
Standard and Premium tier members will be given a unique code that will allow them to invite a user into their “circle” for free. The higher the cost of that tier, the more individuals will be allowed to join their circle.
Once a member joins a circle, they are able to "check in" or mark themselves as safe or not safe during the day. They may also choose to share their location either temporarily or all the time with one or more members of any circle they are a member of. Any location sharing can be canceled at any time - a user (or parent in the case of a child user) maintains full autonomy over their data.
