Surah al-Mumtahanah, also known as Surah al-Mumtahinah. It has 13 verses and was revealed in Medina. The title of the surah means "The Woman Who is Examined" or "The Woman Who is Tested", and it refers to the case of a woman who migrated from Mecca to Medina, leaving behind her unbelieving husband, and sought protection from the Prophet (peace be upon him).
According to some sources, reciting this surah has many benefits and rewards for the believers. Some of these benefits are:
- The person who recites this surah will be protected from the evil of the enemies of Islam and will be granted victory over them.
- The person who recites this surah will be blessed with good and righteous friends and allies, who will support him in his faith and deeds¹².
- The person who recites this surah will be able to distinguish between the true and the false, and will not be deceived by the hypocrites and the disbelievers¹².
- The person who recites this surah will be forgiven for his sins and will be granted a high rank in Paradise.
- The person who recites this surah will be given the wisdom and courage to stand up for the truth and justice and to defend the oppressed and the weak.
