Applying Imam al-Nawawi’s narration as attributed to him by some scholars. There is not sufficient evidence to prove this attribution, especially since Imam al-Nawawi has compiled a great book on dhikr, and he has not mentioned, from near or far, to this narration attributed to him.

Assuming that his lineage to Imam al-Nawawi is proven, it is his own ijtihad, may God Almighty have mercy on him. God has not given us a role model to follow in all his sayings and situations except the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
