The Surgical Oncology Unit provides specialised care for patients with breast cancer, thyroid cancer, sarcomas and a wide range of other conditions.

Surgeons within the unit work for Groote Shuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town. The senior consultants in the firm both have a special interest in surgical oncology.

The department of Surgical Oncology provides excellence in care for patients with a broad range conditions including:
* Breast conditions and breast surgery
* Endocrine, thyroid and parathyroid surgery
* Sarcomas and soft tissue tumours

The purpose of the Groote Schuur Hospital Breast and Endocrine Bookings app is to allow referral of patients from primary level of care to specialists in our unit through our simple and easy-to-use app specifically designed for our unit.

Users will be able to navigate to the clinic of their choice and fill in the information on Jotforms provided. A date will be given which should be communicated to the patient.
