The Government of Bihar (GoB), through the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), an autonomous body under the Department of Rural Development, is spearheading the World Bank aided Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP), locally known as JEEViKA with the objective of social & economic empowerment of the rural poor.
BRLPS is designated to scale up JEEViKA model of poverty alleviation through-out the state of Bihar in a phased manner. JEEViKA is leaving no stones unturned to bring revolution in the state. The society under overall Framework of National Rural Livelihoods Mission is endeavouring to keep pace with the changing world and bring efficiency in its work.
