Paris Saint-Germain officially introduces Lionel Messi as its new player. La Pulga tied to a contract for two years at Les Parisiens.
The announcement was made by PSG on the club's official website, Wednesday (11/8/2021) early morning WIB. Messi got the number 30 shirt at the Parc des Princes.
"Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the signing of Leo Messi on a two-year contract with the option of a third year," PSG wrote on the club's official website.
"The six-time Ballon d'Or winner deserves to be considered a legend of the game and a true inspiration to those of all ages, both inside and outside of football," he said.
Lionel Messi welcomed the signing of his contract with PSG. He wants to try a new experience with the French club.
"I'm excited to start a new chapter in my career at Paris Saint-Germain. Everything about the club matches my football ambitions," said Messi.
"I know how talented the squad and coaching staff are here. I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I can't wait to step onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes."
Paris Saint-Germain became the second club that Lionel Messi defended throughout his professional career. He previously played with Barcelona since 2004.
