Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro (Portuguese pronunciation: [kɾiʃˈtjɐnu ʁɔˈnaɫdu]; born 5 February 1985) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr FC as a forward and also captains the Portugal national team. Often regarded as the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Ronaldo won five Ballon d'Or awards and four European Golden Shoes. He has so far won 34 trophies in his career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA European Championship and one UEFA Nations League. Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals (140) and assists (42) in the Champions League, the most goals in the UEFA European Championship (14), and the most international goals by a male player (122). He is one of the few players to make over 1,100 appearances in his professional career, and scored more than 834 official goals for both club and country.
