This Android App turns your Android device into a portable dual channel AIS receiver with a RTL SDR dongle and an OTG cable. With these inexpensive dongles you can pick up AIS signals broadcasted by nearby vessels, even if offline! The App directly accesses the USB device and does not need additional drivers. Output can be send via UDP to plotting Apps like Boat Beacon or OpenCPN. A lightweight AIS receiver system when travelling.
