Kanya Vivah & Vikas Society is a registered organization under the Society Act Section 21/1860, dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by girls. Girls are an integral part of society, and a truly civilized and developed society cannot exist without their equal participation. We often claim to be a civilized people, but until girls have equal access to education and decision-making, the dream of a developed society remains just that—a dream.

In developed countries, women are often key decision-makers, but in India, particularly in Bihar, girls continue to face discrimination and exploitation at every step. Societal barriers hinder their progress, leaving them vulnerable to oppression. Our goal is to empower girls, but societal evils stand in our way. The price for this inequality is paid by our daughters, who often face constant struggles and challenges throughout their lives.

The roots of their oppression often begin at home and extend to their in-laws. Until we as parents break free from outdated norms, until we empower our daughters physically and mentally, the status quo will remain. As long as we consider them a burden rather than an equal, no real progress can be made. The exploitation of girls will persist, and their potential will remain untapped.

Numerous government and non-government organizations are working on these issues, but progress has been slow. One key reason is that while we talk about girl empowerment, we often fail to take concrete actions. We have discussions, hold meetings, and make promises, but when we return home, we forget the cause. True change requires action—not just words.

If we address the empowerment of girls, many of the problems facing our society, state, and nation will naturally be resolved. If our daughters are equally strong, educated, and confident, we will no longer worry when they go to their in-laws’ homes. Like our sons, we will trust our daughters to face life's challenges with strength and resilience. But this requires us to empower them as we do our sons.

Kanya Vivah & Vikas Society was formed with the mission to address these issues and create a society where girls are no longer held back by prejudice and inequality.
